An Angle is Watching Us

little Ray Ern ‘s first birthday is coming up soon, then in no time it will be Jada’s and then yours – Reeve. It seems like it was just 2 months ago when you were still in my arms weighing 4.5kg. look at you now, you stand well, you eat extremely fast, you crawl fast, you gnawed on any moving objects, including non-moving ones too at times…wow…and its been a wonderful ONE year already!
although you spend 45% (not half!) of your time in melaka with mah-mah, but each time when you are back with me, i will try to make full use of my time with you. i will skip gym during weekdays to come home to you sharp at 5 or earlier. i will caress you up and down the 3 storey house ya-ya has to show ah-ku, ah-mi and whoever that is there.
at night i will watch you sleep although at times i will be out drinking (tea la not alco la) and dinnering with friends, but believe me, mami really miss you for every second that i don’t see and sniff you. i pray for je-je and your safety and especially babee’s (coz he travels to some weird and most remote places in Indonesia).
i always bribe kakak with nice clothes, bras, good food, desserts, gold chain (during Raya) and ang pow (during CNY) so that she will not have the slightest intention to harm or abuse you and your sometimes can be difficult + rude sister (hahahah)

my typical message to Gohonzon before i sleep goes like this:-

POH YAU BABEE, RENEE, REEVE, AH-MI, YA-YA, AH-KU, MANN MANN, SIEW WAI, BEE LI, KEITH JAI…all peng-peng, onn-onn…drive carefully, don’t meet bad people, don’t see blood and live long (all in Cantonese)
