potty trained?

kakak dilah would bring you to the toilet every morning after your feed, eversince you were 5 mths old or so. Yesterday she told me - "Mam, Reeve banyak pandai la, dia sentuh perut dan kata - kakak poo-poo", "so saya bawa dia pergi toilet dan dia betul betul berak di sana la". When i heard the comment, i was happy for you knowing the signs of not doing your business in your diapers anymore. BRAVO! Now my mission is to quit you on the PACIFIER! Yesterday, i also noticed your kakak sniffing your salivaed clothing before washing and she asked if she could keep some of your clothing for remembrance. "Mesti boleh la" i replied. She has tears in her eyes when she talks about you and je-je, but there is no other choice as she too has a family and a 7 year old son to attend to, she will return to Indon in a month time. Mami is trying very hard not to let go of your beloved kakak, so i told her to call me whenever she wants to come back or when she gets tired of the kampung life.

i was awaken by the sound of a familiar ringing tone - Guang Liang's best singles, title "Thong Hua" (fairytale), it was a. AM on the other line asking if i wanted to do lunch, but it has got to be in PJ area, we negotiated for a while and strongly agreed on dinner instead as both the Yaps was golfing, but seperately...

ding dong..ding dong..it was past noon and babee was already back from the competition with a stack of isetan vouchers for the longest drive. Naturally, i wanted to go out and spend it, but instead we opted for tamil movie in bed...hahaha..so romantic. babee put sailo to sleep and mami "tried" patting you but failed...

the night came, still no sign of dinner and venue, smsed a. AM but no reply (my guess then was she had left her fon in pp's house), ding dong..ding dong..we went for dinner at 9pm at Castell, renee refused to follow us, so it was just babee, me and u.danny.

i told u.danny - "last time we used to come to Castell, eat then go to VIVA, now, we eat and go home to sleep..." he laughed and replied "last time you had nothing, now you have gained 2 beauties"

lately, i can't help but to record down all the things you have been saying, it may sound a little silly to be blogging every other day on new words, but i feel that it is the only way that i can "grow with you"

yesterday, mami and babee brought you to The Talk to have japanese dinner, when our salmon came, you pointed at it and said "mumm-mumm", then after eating, you told me that you wanted to "ko daun" (go down from baby chair). i let you walked around on your own and after a while you came back to me, pointed to the other end of the leg rest from the bar, then said "ditty" (dirty). i did not realise that you could say dirty until last night, I praised you, "so clever boy ah, can say dirty already?". when the clock strikes 10pm, you got impatient, you pulled my shirt "meemee pergi" (go home). but as we were about to get the car, you leaned over to "babeei careeei" (babee carry). in the car i carressed you so tightly, you were sleepy but still struggle to open those small eyes, at one point you touched my breast in curiosity and smile cheekily with the word "nen nen" (breast).

reached home, i placed you on my bed to wipe you, you got impatient again, you kept crawling back to your bed, i kept pulling your legs back to wear your pyjamas. after the wrestled, you crawled so fast in to your bed and slept in relieve within 2 seconds at the shape of "tai" (big - chinese character).

the saying "dragon bed cannot compare to dog's kennel" applies here.

on your own

yesterday i bathed you, you held the shower head while i shampooed you. next thing i knew you were laughing so loud when i was all drenched from head to toe. you sprayed water at me and when i wiped my face you laughed with 5 cute, porcelain teeth. (why is your teeth taking ages to grow ah baby?, even Lauren got her 1st already)

this morning you woke up very early, like at 7.40am or even earlier. i did not talk to you, i ignored you and cover my face with the duvet. i heard you talking to yourself while sitting on your own bed, you told yourself "col-col" (cold), then "ohhh...hon-hon" (buses horning) when you heard footsteps of kakak outside the room, you shouted "kakakkkkkk tik..." (kakak take). when you saw my face, you chucckled and gave me your "jit-jit" (pacifier)like you know i will definitely ask you for it. you didnt move away from your bed, you still sat there, when i carried you up from the bed, you pointed down and told me - "my bed" (that was so cute...didn't expect to hear it). mami noticed that each night when you are about to sleep, you will sure crawl back to your bed and land there to sleep nomatter how tired you are.

its funny how you prefer to be tidy and on your own at such a tender age...

I wrote this in the morning, but waited till late afternoon as i wanted to compose more words then post, but after visiting Ern's post, then did i realise that we are posting about the same issue..hehehe so ngam one!!

reeve, did you know that the only person that can make you smile is your sister?

each time you see her, your lips just extends itself and your eyes will automatically pushed to the far end corners. even when you are drinking your milk, your sister walk pass, you will so obediently pull the teat out from your mouth to greet her "je-je" then return to your milk again. just yesterday you looked up and saw your je-je sitting with yaya at the tv hall, you rushed up the stairs to reach out for her. after you got hold of her, you hugged her dearly and again call out "je-je" to "tik" (take) toy cars for you. later, when you heard her crying downstairs, you stopped whatever you were doing and mummbled to me "ohh..je-je kyiiing..."(pointing downstairs), you wanted to rush down to see what happened. i brought you down and when you saw her sitting there in tears, you approached her to peep at her and then S.M.I.L.E..as usual one smile catches two...

so why does mami still call you a SNOB?

you saw Rayern at Chuai Heng, he tried touching you, making friends with you and kissing your cheek, you just turned away with utter unfriendliness. people were all touching your head, calling your name, but you just had NO intentions to smile or be friendly.

it doesn't end here...

yaya saw you at the coffee shop outside the house, he approached you, you looked at him and turned away again as if you didn't know who he was.
don't worry, mami's mission now is to groom you to be as receiving and acceptive as your sister!

yesterday eko called me on my cell to tell me that ah ku had asked her to change you as he wanted to bring you back to melaka (he is going for work). he has never done this before, i thought?

i said no, as he won't be able to handle you in the car when you move about, unless he straps you down in the car seat, then i thought again, isn't that car seat a little too small and unmoneuverable for you? i hung up and the cell rang again, this time it was my sweet pea calling "mami, i want follow ah ku baba go back melaka, pless, pless". after 55 hundred plesss, i finally gave in and said ok, but you have to sit in the car seat and belt up. "Ok mami..."

at home AMD told me that you were so eager, you waited by the steps for ah ku to come down, he packed snacks, milk, choc, biscuits, water, tea for the journey. he brought Barneys, pillows and bolsters too. i called him when he was driving to check if you were alright, he said "she is fine la, can you stop calling, she is so behaved, she is keeping me company"

i called the melaka house so many times until i spoke to every individual in that house each time i called. i even wanted to call at 11.30pm to check on you again. but babee discouraged me.

i was so worried about you, i couldn't sit or eat well, the feeling was so stirred cum disturbed. did you know that this is the first time you have been away from mami eversince you were born? (i mean,away from seputeh home w/o AMD or myself, also first time sleeping in melaka w/o us) i received mms from unc martin, you were so happy...early this morning i made babee called home for you as i was ashame to call so many times.

sailo, mami has never worried-sick about you like that, its probably because you go back to melaka every alternate month. you are a strong boy, you can take care of yourself, but girls are a little vulnerable and always require more attention. please do not feel unequal as i love you both the same. looking forward to sniff both your heads and feet tomorrow when you two return!

babee went to Bangkok, so since the night before he had brought me to watch "The Ghost of Mae Nak", i opted to sleep in AMD's room instead. we had supper and after that i brought a mattress down to her room and nicely planted my pillows and Pooh Bears. you asked me if i was going to sleep in AMD' s room and I answered "yes darling"

you jumped in you and knocked your head against the drawer. hhahahah...off course your dear yaya came to comfort you and explained a long story why you shouldn't jump on beds and how it will bounce you from her to there ...blah..blah..blah..

you slept with me on the mattress, then when AMD called out your name, you got up to lye next to her on the bed...then came down, then up and down until you were so tired you slept on my arms.

yaya said "tai...yau 3 toi fan hai toh ah" (see, there are 3 generations sleeping here). From now on, mami will be sleeping more often with you and AMD, when babee is out of town. Mami used to sleep with them 22 out of 30, but lately due to childbirth and aging problems, my back has not been good to sleep on mattress. But I will commence this bonding again...hoping that you too will be sleping with me one day when you are 32!

Call from Melaka

The caller ID says Melaka, so i answered with a loud, "ya..mami" (thinking that its mah-mah). To my surprise, i heard "meeeeee....ee..aaaaaaaaaaa...oooohhh...uuuhhh...mmmmmmaammeeee" My darling boy is calling me from Melaka! I repeatedly called out your name and all i could hear is eee..ooo..ahhh.
Mah-mah took away the phone from you and she said to me:

MahMah - "lei ko jai seng yat wan lei ah" (your son has been looking for you the whole day)
MahMah - " i asked him want mami ah?" he brouht me the phone to call you...hahahaha (so proud of her grandson's achievement)

Dear baby boy, if only you can understand my version of I LOVE YOU is actually the same as your way of expressing in a babyish language of ee...oooo...aaahhha...I LOVE YOU TOO baby! alwayz
