BBQ on Saturday at A.Sandy's -

We started as early as 6pm, jaylyn and you were running about entertaining Lauren. Jaylyn's little brother has grown so long and chubby. As for Lauren, she is a bit bigger now, but still petit compare to you when you were a baby. She was wearing a lovely purple MINI ME t-shirt, if i had seen it in BKK, i would have bought it for you too..a very sweet top.

A.AM arrived close to 8-tish with her MIL, A.Desi, Belen and RE. You had a wild time after Belen and RE arrived, ignoring JL. You keep calling Belen - "Balloon, come here..."

Close to 10-nish, we left as most of us were tired and you kids were cranky. Before leaving, A.AM asked us to go her house the next day so that u.billy could savour more of his favourite Hzlnut cake.

Your eyes were partially closed in the car, but when we arrived home, you sprung into position, ready for another 3 hours of fun with your grandparents...i left them to handle The ENERGISER.

Post BBQ
Went to A.AM's house, you swam with Rayern, you refused to wear your underwear (forgot to bring swimsuit). With Rayern you were ok not wearing any clothes, but when u.Jeff walked out to see you kids, you quickly submerged yourself in the pool of water to hide your "parts"???

The whole time there, you wore RE's clothing (new+old), his shoes and most of his things. You just like that little fella so much, you simply adore him!

missing my baby...

ah ku asked me when you are coming back from melaka? i answered in 2 weeks. he said he will go pick you up this weekend as he misses you already. then MM interupted our conversation by saying:-

MM - baba, don't be so selfish la, he is a YAP la, people's mah-mah only get to see his cucu once in 2 months and you want to bring him back after a week....furthermore, Reeve is always here with us, how do you think people will feel? (i know...she is so mature and understanding right? i was so touched when i heard that from my dear niece that i once carried in my arms, *snap* she is now 13)

AH KU - nggg...ok (looks agitated)

I miss you too baby darling, i called you at home just now from work, kakak picked up the phone and when she realised its me, she put the receiver near your ear. I called out "Reeve boy...reeve darling boy...fei jai ah..." I can hear your giggles, kakak said, you are chuckling hard but still no luck of hearing the word "mami" from you. After talking to your mah-mah, she confirms that you are fei fei pak pak, not creating any problems, eating well, waking at 8.30am and taking occasional naps. I feel good because I know she is very happy that you are there, it makes me happy too, i just have to wait 2 more weeks to be able to sniff those soles of your feet, touch those ezcema skin and use that botak head to prick my cheek.

Renee, you asked for a Barbie doll, your first priority was Blue, second choice was Purple. I managed to find a Barbie with a Blue top and Purple bottom. You fell asleep when i got back, so i placed it next to your bed so you would see it first thing this morning when you open your eyes. You called me (AMD dialled for you) in the afternoon and repeatedly say "thank you mami, thank you very moch mami, you buy blue and purple Barbie doll for me ah?, you come back office, i play with you ok"

Next you used the doctor stethoscope (from a.audrey's vet set) to listen to the Barbie's heartrate, then you told AMD that "the Barbie's nen nen pain pain wo"..you then used sailo's plastic spoon to scrap the Barbie's chest and told AMD - "i kuasa for Barbie" (a traditional method used to expell air off the body). AMD called me up to tell me that...so funny! She added 'lei ko looi ho chi 8 poh kam" (your daughter is like a 8 poh!)

After Singapore

Reeve, when asked if you want a certain thing and that your answer is NO, you will synchronise your head and shoulder and twist together instead of just your head turning...so funny, at first mami didnt understand that movement then after a while i realised that you didnt want your food anymore. You hardly drink milk now, just eat alot of junk food and rice eventhough you still have only 4 teeth!

You look out our gate to waive at our golden retriever, as usual he ignores you and you will call him "jipee...jipee..then mellow down to pp..pp". But when he approached you, you will keep ur hands behind the grill.

Your skin has improved alot, they are so smooth now, even my fingers can slip at times. You have developed this really sleezy smile, actually if you take a closer look, it is more of a "hum sup" look. So mischievious, never want to sleep, still loves to take shower, cry each time we go out without you. Hold AMD's hands when she is all dressed up. She has such a soft heart, cannot resist to let you down, so she wll drive you around the neighbourhood 2 rounds then drop you off.

Renee, once we checked in to the hotel in S'pore, you dreamt that yaya was being chased by a ghost, then that same night before sleeping, you pointed at one corner of the room and told us "got hantu there"...babee and I ignored you and continue with our HBO movies (not ignore la, just didnt want you elaborate). You came home to tell yaya of the "ghost incident" and he laughed but was worried that you might have really seen something. While telling us the story, you actually cried a little (too scared) plus your voice was trembling in fear, lastly you told yaya after he comforted you - "I love you yaya" as usual he melted!

Later when i told him about your "nieces+nephews", he laughed until he choked on taufu... he finds it so hilarious that a 3 year old has other nieces and nephews who are older than her and that it is called Aunty Renee!!!

Yest, we received an mms from a.sandy - Jaylyn has been admitted due to viral infection + excessive vomitting. I showed it to you and you asked if she was in pain? how about Rayern, hui mou pain-pain hai mai? (he is not in pain right?), you kept pestering me to bring you to the hospital to see Jaylyn, you seem heart soar over that mms. My darling, you have got such a good heart. Today at work, i found out from a.AM that poor Rayern also contracted food poisoning and had vomitted 3 times in 30 mins.

First time across the Southern border...

Mami keep telling you that we are going to Singapore, that you must behave yourself and no menacing in the duration. When we reached there (Paragon Shopping Center) you fell asleep due to late nights and early mornings. We shopped for 3 hours and by the time we queued for the taxi, you got up and your first question was "mami, you never bring me go singapore ah?" I answered "we are here darling" - "mami I want to go singapore, don't want to go shopping mami..."

You met up with many small cousins and "nieces+nephews" of the Yaps, not very excited about them, i think you still prefers your usual gang consisting Rayern, Lauren, Jaylyn, Ivan and sailo.

On our way here, you asked me why I never bring sailo, i ooooopss.. mami forgot to bring him, how? your reply was "nevermind la, let him stay at home and sleep ok"

"V" day in hot soup

In the Car -
A simple last minute Valentine's dinner together with the usual gang ended up in the steamboat place at Aman Suria. Renee - on the way there, you asked me if we were going to a.joanne's house, i think you could probably recognised the Tropicana road surroundings by now. So I teased you, "No we are going to a.audrey's apartment. Again you turned your head around then gave me a cunning/sleezy cum unsure smile - "No la mami, a.joanne's house la here, a.audrey house Hartamas there" (hehehe...so cute la you!)

stopped at the frameshop to frame all your jut-jut's up. I only brought 11 jut-juts, 1 more missing

At the table -
You started by warning Jaylyn not to beat your brother (an informer told me), she also said, you sounded so pityful as if you actually mean, "don't beat my brother ok, but if you really want to, i can take it for him". After a few rounds of running about and menacing with sailo, jaylyn and rayern, jaylyn finally pushed your brother from the back, you screamed at her NO! covered sailo's head and pointed at her again "Don't beat my sailo hah!". Then complained to a.audrey, u.billy about jaylyn...

After the dinner -
You told a.joanne that you wanted to go back to her house with her, so she picked you up and carried you to the car with a lot of joy and happiness. What tranpired during this time, please read Grow With Me for accurate details as I was making milk for Reeve.

That was a typical Valentine's rendez-vouz for us...simply simple#

Sibling WAR

This w/end both babee and I witnessed what we had expected to see after sailo started to walk. Yaya and AMD had anticipated sailo (when he turned ONE) to start a "Sibling War" - Which means we will see both you and him fight, quarrel, box and race for attention. It has delayed for sometime, but just last week, after he turned 15 months old, he has become very strong and has developed a rivalry attitude towards you. He wants to follow us everywhere we go, he cries for me/babee to carry and wants a piece of the same thing you are holding.

Yesterday, we saw him pulling your hair, you punching his arm, he biting your bum, you pulling his feet, he tripping you, you elbowing him then eating his food when he is not looking...and lastly both falling on top of one another. At the end of every session, both of you will laugh and start all over again in the matter of 5 minutes. Somehow, I was amused by the punching and pulling as it was well-balanced and a norm amongst siblings. Like AMD said, it is healthy and it is a sign of bonding.

At one point you had name calling sessions and off coz you WON coz sailo cannot talk yet. You called sailo an UGLY TOAD!, KUKUJIOA BERDARAH BOY! and some other not so humurous names...as to how you derived to a name like that, i really don't know but after much investigation, i realised that it could be me and my explanation towards "PERIOD or MENSTRUATION" when you asked "mami, you wearing pampers also ah?"

He asked for "Bis Ket" later, you opened the tin, fed him a piece of biscuit then ran to kakak to complain that he didn't wash his hands b4 eating...

Its all about CommunicationS

Conversation with Renee before I left for work yesterday morning: -

Renee: Mami, you going to work ah?
Mami: Ya lor..
Renee: Mami, don't go la, oin-oin with me la (she was still rolling in bed)
Mami: Cannot la darling, have to work, I see you later ok (kiss her over and over)
Renee: Ok, goodbye mami, i see you at 4 o'clock ok (walked me down to the car)

At night, while I was preparing to go meet up with A.Soo Kee and attend Arthur Kung-Kung's birthday: -

Renee: Mami, you go where?
Mami: I am going for a party and dinner
Renee: Mami, you bring me ah?
Mami: No Renee, it is an adult reception, only for big people, small kids cannot go (flat mouth)
Renee: What time you come back?
Mami: (Pointed at my watch) When the small needle reach here - 11pm
Renee: (walked us down to the car again, waived goodbye, then - "Bye-Bye Mami, bye-bye Babee, I see you ok..muakkk-muakkk"

Eversince you started talking and understanding, ah Ku told me not to lie to you, wherever we were going we would tell you and make sure you smile and acknowledge before we leave. He taught me to keep my promisses to you, never lie, never hide you and leave quietly and to be back at stipulated times. Now, i find it so easy to leave you whenever, i just have to tell, pat and kiss...

Pest-cifier

One of my list-topping new year resolution is to quit Renee on her Pacifier a.k.a jut-jut. So, the day after her 3rd birthday, which is also CNY Eve - 28th Jan 2006, I decided to take her off "it". I found a worm near the garden and placed it next to the pacifier which happens to be on top of the cistern. I brought her there, took her by surprise and when i showed it to her, she just freaked out! The toilet, the worm and the jut-jut there...no no no...

Since then she has not mentioned the word jut-jut to me nor to anyone else. But when it came to bed-time, she was in pain, she cried for close to 30 mins persuading me to give it to her. She kicked up a ruckus, became a menace but eventually night after night she overcame the hardship and firmly refuses the Pacifier now even when offered! She was a lil' pesty for a week and now she is officially off the hook!!! yea...

I am proud of you sugar-pie!

More Attacks...

We saw the beginning of a New Year as auspicious and as grand as can be -

1st Day
Open house at our Melaka house, caterers came, children running, guests arriving from all over. Another dinner cooked by mah-mah at night for those that arrived late that afternoon due to jams. Thrashed by 10pm

2nd Day
Open house after open house and cooking after cooking, mah-mah had an arthiritis attack on the 2nd day. This time, she was bed-ridden and was totally in agony due to prolonged standing and walking.

3rd Day & 4th Day
Left for KL to return to A.AM house to "pai lin", a.ailyn were not there, so we met up with her again the next day at the same place. Renee darling, you were attacked by Jaylyn on the head, then kena splashed 100+ all over as a revenge of mami and a.AM reprimanding her.

5th, 6th & 7th Day
Met up with Renee supporters at Chili's for more chatting and impulsive complain of some kids at some uncontrolable situations.
Was mostly at a.AM's house, but was also out with mami's old classmates for re-union. You wished everyone Gong Xi Fat Chai and sailo would raised his both hads to shake together with a deep smile. so cute...we had a pyjamas party at a.AM's on the 6th day, Reeve was eying closely on Chloe. Ham sup!

8th Day
a.Sandy's house for "Pai Tin Kong", Renee was attacked again by Jaylyn, she poured the whole contents in the supermarket trolley over Renee's head. My daughter stood up and shouted with extreme loudness and hatred at her to stop. She practically yelled her lungs out. Jaylyn took a red egg (for prayers) to throw at Renee, her mah-mah saw and whacked her hands really hard...hehehe, tai seh!
