We had a late dinner and coffee with Uncle Jeff and Aunt Joanne (747) tonight. As u see aunt Joanne walking in, the first thing u asked her was "rayern leh, mo lei ah", then you repeated the same question with a twist on your hands yet another 159 times b4 turning to uncle Jeff. He commented that u r the most obedient and "tai sek" child amongst all those that he knows...mmmmm (no comments)
The rain was very heavy tonight, in the car i took out ur shoes so that u would feel more comfortable. U rubbed ur thick, spongy feet on the window as though u could feel the rain water flowing out there. The rain, the thunderstorm and the minor floods amused you. U were so inquisitive (jeff said that too - 8 mui), u asked "what is that mami" pointing to the flash floods, orange blinking road marking cones and bright yellow raincoats.
You know u are just so lucky to be in my arms, I saw people on bikes heading home, all drenched, kids waiting with their parents at the bus stop in Universiti Malaya Hospital and girls chasing after their buses. I hugged and cuddled you so tightly, you giggled so much that you drooled. I saw your innocent face, ur mouth opened so big, u squintted ur eyes to be funny, u shrugged ur shoulders, u tickled me and curdled under breast as if looking for some form of protection. At that precise moment, I thought to myself, nothingelse in this world is as great as maternal love. It is simply "irreplaceable" and it is "divine". A mother would do anything to give their fullest support, would save the last spoon of rice for their kids, wrap their them up in the last comforter and be cold and hungry the entire night...well, atleast that was what my mum did for me and my siblings...
After we reached home, babee gave u a light shower and then changed u in to pyjamas. You wanted to watch Barney, but he said "no" "its too late..sleep". You smacked him on his lap, but he was cool, I saw that and immediately i told you to say sorry and never do that again...I always believe that kids must be taught like puppies, there and then u have to correct their doings. Ok...so u said sorry and kissed babee on his lips and then kissed again until he said..ok ok enough...so sweet of u.
I then had my shower too and after all that b4 I retired to bed I applied my night cream and eye gel as what I have always been doing. This time, u approached me - "mami, give me some la, i want put here and here, like that la" circling those 3-4 cm fingers around your eye area and cheek...hahaha like real only.
So, i too wanted to see what u were going to do with those cream, i gave u a drop of moisturiser on the tip of your last 2.5cm finger and indeed u clipped the fingers together, rubbed a little and patted around the eye area just like me! Then u asked for more, and with the remaining moisturiser u patted it on your cheek stroking upwards. That followed by body lotion on the legs, hands and body???
